Rosa Italiana – Garfield NJ

photo 5“Rosa Italiana” is a must-go-to wood-fired pizza and Italian cuisine restaurant located on the border of Garfield and Saddle Brook NJ.  It’s a very cozy family restaurant that has a special touch of Italy along with their regulars and of course the one and only, Rosa, who welcomes you with hugs and kisses and makes sure you feel at home.  Their doors are open from 11am until past 9pm, six days a week, and reservations can be made.  This fair-priced hidden treasure not only leaves you wanting more; it leaves you planning your return after having a cappuccino and Rosa’s secret dessert! Must Try: ** Note:: Not all images may be considered a “Must Try” “*
– Always order a Panini for Lunch!
– Mozzarella Carroza – They’re Mozzarella Sticks! Unlike regular ones that you have enough from eating 2 (unless you’re 8yrs old) they’re so fresh tasting that they make you want to order more.
– Insalata Alla Rosa – This salad has: Romaine Lettuce, Arugula, Caramelized Walnuts, Cranberries, Crumbled Gorgonzola, Sliced Apples in a Raspberry Vinaigrette and it is my absolute favorite salad! (I now make it at home with a few additions)
– Antipasto – Perfection!
– PIZZA!! — All pies are fresh, light, and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.
– Creme Brûlée is a “Must Order”

Negatives::
Depending on how you like your “fresh mozzarella” this could be good or bad news.  Rosa Italiana’s fresh mozzarella was very thick sliced and had a harder texture than I prefer while chewing.
